IT, Cabling & Camera FAQs

Common questions about our services, pricing, scheduling and subcontracting.

We are a New York IT contractor that designs, installs and supports structured cabling, business networks and Wi-Fi, security camera systems, cybersecurity, cloud services and day-to-day IT support. You get one team that plans the whole system, installs it cleanly, documents everything and supports it afterward, across all five boroughs and New Jersey.

Yes. For projects in NYC and nearby New Jersey, we visit your site at no cost, review your space and existing equipment, and send a written plan and fixed-price quote. There is no obligation to hire us.

Installation projects get one fixed price based on the site survey, so there are no surprise invoices. Ongoing IT support is billed hourly (on-demand) or as a flat monthly fee per user. Any change to scope is quoted and approved in writing before we do the work.

Cat6 works well for most offices. Cat6A supports 10 Gbps over the full 100-meter distance and is the better choice for newer Wi-Fi access points and long-term growth. We recommend the right option during the site survey.

Yes. We set up secure, encrypted remote viewing so you can see live and recorded video on your phone, tablet or computer, and we train your staff on the app at handover.

Cyberthics Digital Solutions LLC carries [general liability, workers’ compensation and auto] insurance, with certificates available on request. [Add your NYS security/alarm installer license number.]

Usually the cause is access point placement, too few access points, interference or outdated equipment, not the internet line. We test coverage, find the real bottleneck and fix it, often reusing equipment that still works.

Every camera system we install is placed on its own network segment, with default passwords changed, firmware updated and remote access encrypted.

Yes. We put practical protections in place, such as multi-factor sign-in, endpoint protection and tested backups, and help you answer vendor security questionnaires. Formal compliance decisions remain with you and your auditors.

We serve Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, the Bronx, Staten Island and New Jersey. For larger projects elsewhere, contact us.
